Surprise! Our family recently moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Southern Illinois in January of 2022. We are so excited for this new season of life and will definitely miss our friends and clients in Jacksonville.
I am working to establish my business in the Midwest, however I love traveling, and will also still be accepting a limited number of weddings in Florida. I will also be booking portrait sessions in Florida during times I am back in the area for weddings/events.
We are now based in Hutsonville, Illinois (right on the state line between Southern IL & Southern IN), and will be serving in/around Illinois and Indiana. Travel ranges included for wedding collections are 100 miles for the wedding day and 50 miles for engagement sessions. We also have some special pricing for adventure engagement sessions – specifically in Indianapolis, Chicago, and St. Louis! For locations further/in other surrounding areas, I am happy to provide you a custom quote.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
I like to describe my photography style is a blend of light & bright, true-to-color. I love having some airy-ness to my images, but still enjoy maintaining those pops of color and nice contrasted tones. I like to think that this style/artistic choice will be something that remains timeless, and when you look back at your images years from now, you’ll be able to say, “Yep, that’s exactly how it looked!”
WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME ON PHOTOS?
Traditionally turn around is 2 weeks for portrait sessions and up to 8 weeks for weddings and events (just depending on how busy the time of year is). I will typically have a sneak peek available no later than 48 hours after your wedding!
DO YOU OFFER A SECOND SHOOTER?
Yes, all of my wedding collections include a second shooter to allow us to capture your special day from every angle. Second shooters are typically released once all key reception festivities have occurred. For any other photography sessions and events, one can be added for an additional fee.
ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
Yes! I firmly believe in operating a legal and honorable business, so I am licensed and also carry insurance that meets the coverage many wedding venues may require. I am more than happy to provide a COI to your wedding venue.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Your images are delivered via an online, downloadable photo gallery. Galleries are live for a year from the date of delivery. This is a convenient and easy way to share your photos with friends and family!
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON THE DAY OF MY SESSION?
I check the weather a lot! Prior to a session or event, I will stay updated on the current weather predictions. If it seems like storms might affect the safety of everyone or the quality of the portrait session, I will contact you for us to determine if rescheduling is the best option. For weddings, I come equipped with a variety of umbrellas, towels, and other odds and ends to make sure that no matter what the weather looks like, we make the most of whatever comes our way!
HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING?
I love to have the opportunity to meet potential couples in person or via video conference, for us to chat and make sure I am the best fit for your photography needs! I value so much more than just a transactional experience with our couples, so meeting together is that first step to formulating that friendship.
If you find that you’d like to book me to capture your special day, once we have had a chance to get to know each other, a signed contract and a paid $1,200 non-refundable retainer are both required to officially secure a specific date. The remaining balance will be broken up into additional payments that will be listed in your contract.
HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR A PORTRAIT SESSION?
To schedule your portrait session, please reach out to me with the details of what your are looking for! Once we iron out the specifics of your session, a signed contract and a paid $200 non-refundable retainer are both required to officially secure a specific date and time. The remaining balance is due on or before the time of your session.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept credit card payments through your client portal, checks payable to Christine Austin Creative, LLC, and cash.

CAN I GET A REDUCED RATE OR AN EXTRA HOUR OF COVERAGE IF I DON’T NEED/WANT THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN MY WEDDING COLLECTION?
I love to have an opportunity to spend some time with my couples for us to get to know each other better, and I found the engagement session to be a fantastic way to do that! This allows me to work with you and gives you a chance to see how my process is. It also allows some of those camera jitters to go away, so on your wedding day you know what to expect. (Plus you’ll have some nice images to include on your save the dates!) For this reason, the engagement session included in our wedding collections are a complimentary gift to you, so a reduced rate or additional coverage time isn’t available if you would like to apt out of that session (but who doesn’t want free photos?!).
WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU (LIKE AN EMERGENCY OR ACCIDENT), AND YOU AREN’T ABLE TO MAKE IT TO OUR EVENT?
This is a legitimate question and one I truly feel should be addressed! My husband and I know first hand what it’s like to experience a tragedy right before a big event – you can never “plan” when something like this will take place. Whether it be a couple weeks in advance (or while we are driving to your wedding/event), I will have some emergency contact information in your contract with designated people in place to step up on my behalf in the event of an emergency.
